Research: Analysis of 3 advertisementsthat relates to our genre & audiences

This is Katy Perry's Teenage Dream advertisement which I've chosen because it relates to my groups music genre because of the simple fact that its target audience are young girls with the picture of the artist in a revealing pose edited in a pink theme surrounded by colorful cushions, ideal for young girls. Furthermore what I like about it is that the important font such as the artists name, album name and date of release has a range of colors that are designed to stand out to the reader.

This is another advertisement version of Katy Perry's teenage dream which again I've chosen because it is appealing and again relates to the genre of my music video. It is aimed at young girls because of the pink and heaven theme used in it which shows happiness and purity. Furthermore I like how the font blends in with the theme bringing out the important notices such as artists name, album name and when the album is released.

This is a poster from Amy Winehouse which advertises her promo album to download, and I've chosen it because it relates to my music groups genre because its aimed at girls and uses the black theme and her sitting alone by herself to show  depression which some young girls go through and I could use as a design for my advert. What I personally like about it is that the font is big and bold which blends into the black surrounding and brings out the most important font such as the artists name and how/where to get the song from.

Research: Analysis of 3 digipaks that relate to our genre & audiences

Teenage DreamTeenage Dream

This is Katy Perry's Teenage dream album, and I've chosen this digipak because it relates to the genre of my groups music video because it is pop like ours. The target audience is clearly aimed at young females because of the wide use of pink & white for the background, typography and the CD itself and also baby blue for the sky which young girls like. Furthermore these colors also represent happiness which is similar to our song, and finally the digipak is mainly pictures of the artist herself to show she is the main singer/character in the music video in which I intend to do for my digipak making this an ideal digipak to research.

This is Kate Nash's Made of bricks album, and I've chosen this digipak because it relates to the genre of my groups music video because its pop like ours. The target audience are young girls because of the cover idea of a young girl which is the main artist Kate Nash skipping through her garden surrounded by flowers into her house which is like her castle, which is what most young girls are stereotypically into. whereas the CD and back cover is just plain dark blue which focuses the audience on the front cover. Furthermore the Digipak itself represents in my opinion purity and freedom which you can argue is similar to our music video too.

This is Amy Winehouse's back to Black album, and I've chosen this digipak because it relates to the genre of my groups music video because its pop like ours. The target audience are young girls because of the cover giving us an idea that the artist is depressed because of her siting in a chair alone which some young girls stereotypically go through. Both the front, back along with the CD are dark blue to emphasize/show her depression, which in my music video you could argue there are parts that show depression.

Analysis of three Advertisements

This is an advertisement of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream album. It has the date of release. It is also very colourful this is mainly to attract readers and so it is easy to remember. It says the two main tracks it includes which is California Girls and Teenage Dream.

This is a advertisement for the Back to Black album. It has the same photo as the front of the album. This will make it easier to relate the photo to the album, making it better to remember her by. In the advert the same font type has been use again to help the consumer buying the product remember that type of font relating it back to her album.

This is an advert for the album cannibal by Ke$ha. It uses the same type of colours and imagery for example the glitter and the wild font type suggesting that she is a cannibal as fierce as one. The background picture and the font type goes with the title of the album it's very raged edge and rough.

Analysis of three Digipaks

Katy perry teenage dream album. This is the digipak for Katy perry's teenage dream album. The theme of sweets/cakes and confectionery runs throughout the whole of her album. One of the CD's are made as if it is a doughnut, the other one like a sweet. This is not an abstract digipak as it has mainly pictures of her in it.In the cover there has been a great use of visual design on the front of the album. Katy perry seems to be laying in some candy floss, this image of all things sweet is also carried through with the title of the album which is in the form of a candy cane also her name is in the form strawberry juice of some sort. The main colour scheme seems to be colours such as pink white and red, which also helps distinguish what type of audience this is aimed at. It has been aimed at female mainly young females. This is similar to our genre because the artists songs are also related to young females.
On the back cover of the album it is clear to see the same sort of theme runs to the back as well. The back of the album has the writing in red with a candy floss background. It also has a bar-code and the record company. Instead of the letter 'O' being used she has smartly put sweets in the shape of an 'O' to tie in with the rest of the album.

This is Ke$ha's new album cannibal. Her previous album was called animal. It is noticeable that she has tried to emerge the cover of her previous album and her new album together. It is a very glittery theme with the colours blue and cold dominant on the cover of the album.

On the back of her album is the album tack list, the text is very edgy and is white which goes well with the dark red and black background. There is also a picture of her her on the back and the theme of gold glitter runs through from the front of the album cover. There is also a bar code and an record company. It is also split in 2 with half of the track list from her new album cannibal and the other half from her previous album animal. This is the album digipak. It has the lyrics to her songs and also a thanks page. it keeps to the colour scheme of red, black and glittery. She also has pictures of herself inside and a flag of where she is from, USA.

This is the album back to black by Amy winehouse. she is a solo young female artist similar to our artist. Her background is very dark colours which go with the title of the album suggesting depression or sadness. Her sitting alone on the chair also represents this. The font for the name of the artist is very bold and stands out. She is similar to our audience because the target audience is more or less the same, again young teenage girls heartbroken or looking for love.
