For the lip synch tutorial we were giving cameras to film a karaoke of one of our group members singing along to a CD given to us by the department. We were also given a /CD player to play it on and still cameras to take pictures of us filming all the different angles.
Throught this activity i used new skills to keep everything in time for example when the member of the group was singing we had to make sure he was in time with the music and that he tried to keep his eyes to the camera and not at the sheet of words. This was difficult as he did make quite a few mistakes and we had to re-film a few times.
One thing i found challenging was when using final pro cut we had to edit and lip synch to the soundtrack and i found it really hard to get synced in time.
I didn't really use any new tools but i did use different approaches such as layering and marking the video and using the razor blade to delete the scenes that were not needed.
With the opening to a thriller as long as it was edited to a good enough music the music did not have to be in synch as much as when editing a music video.
You have to film the whole thing through about 5 different times in different angles. Also when filming the whole way through the mistakes had to be fitted when another scene but the exact same words this differs to the opening of a thriller.Another thing is the use of marking was not needed in the video.
This is when we were filming a close up shot of his face.
This is a still of when we were filming him at a low angle.
This is a still from when we were filming from the side.
