Research No.5- Review of a previous students video

This is a music video made by previous students. The audience is aimed at young adults and teenagers, however in the video they had people of all ages participating.
 The genre of the music video is Alternative because i cannot seem to put an exact genre to it.
The narrative of the video was very vague, it had a loose narrative of them trying to spread a message that everybody needs love in their lives. It did no have a linear and there was no disruption or equilibrium.
The media language show great amount of editing done in this video. They also used special effects such as everything was in black and white accept for the colour red, which was made to stand out. This was an amplification of the lyrics because in the lyrics "everybody needs love" the colour red is associated with love, also the main character is wearing red lipstick red shoes and red earrings; her tongue is also red at one point in the video. There is also a close up of her lips and a close up of the side of her face. When she is outside bond street station it is a long shot. When she is holding the sign there is a low angle shot if her singing and dancing. There is also another long shot when she is standing in front of the arch.
The representation in the video is a young and feminine due to the eye catching colour of red that stand out the whole way through the video. She is not objectified sexually.
