Evaluation- Q4. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

During the class analysis there was some constructive feedback from students.

Some of the comments included:
"Good camera movement which engaged the audience."
"Use of parallel editing."
"Nice use of handheld camera."
"Lighting is maintained throughout the whole music video."
"Eye connection with the camera, suggests strength at the artist."

Here is a recording of what someone thought of the video.

I have learnt that people have responded well to the eye contact between the artist and the camera. The extreme close-ups help create a connection with the audience. I have also learnt that we were able to use parallel editing efficiently, using a method of cutting between a couple of scenes that are happening at the same time, this was mainly mentioned during the feedback.
Another thing that came up quite a few times was the use of handheld camera, from this feedback I have learnt that we gave helped show the feelings and emotions of the artist as she was singing the song 'Smile' of being happy whilst singing about revenge towards her ex-boyfriend.
However not many people talked about the range of shot we have used in the music video, this implies that maybe we could have used more of a range of camera shots to give more of an impact.
Also i think we have improved on the lip syncing of the music video as some parts of the video towards the end was out of sync.
